Spring Release Wines:

2022 Cabernet Sauvignon
Beautiful aromas of blackberry, black raspberry, vanilla and baking spice. There are flavors of sweet spices of cinnamon and brown sugar.  This Cabernet is full bodied and a structured palate.  The finish is lengthy with flavors of dark chocolate and espresso.  This is a perfect Cabernet to pair with a meaty steak or brisket with a coffee rub.

2022 Kaia Lee
This blend of 60% Zinfandel, 30% Malbec, and 10% Syrah exudes as much energy as our daughter who is its namesake. This vintage of Kaia Lee on the nose features red fruit notes of strawberry and black cherry are blended with umami notes of truffle mushroom and soy.  The Syrah adds a distinct pepperiness on the nose and the palate.  This blend is full bodied with a balanced tannic structure.  The bright acidity leans towards a tart strawberry and dark chocolate finish.  A perfect pairing for this blend would be summer pasta with grilled mesquite chicken and grilled spiced veggies.

2022 Bodega Aparador
With 2022 yields at an all-time low we were left with a mere one barrel of Tempranillo. But that gave us an amazing opportunity to craft a new Spanish style wine featuring 33% Grenache, 33% Tempranillo, 17% Petite Sirah, and 17% Syrah. The Grenache and Tempranillo bring aromas of strawberry jam and floral notes of violet and rose.  The Syrah and Petite Sirah bring flavors of cocoa and earthy spices of pepper and umami.  On the palate, the ripe tannins and bright acidity lead to a nice complexity and lingering finish of ripe red berry.  This is a great summer BBQ wine!  Grill up some skirt steak and grilled vegetables with some mesquite spices and enjoy a glass of Bodega Aparador!

2022 Sh*T Faced Red
With perhaps one of the best wine labels created (in our humble opinion 🙂 the 2022 SFR continues its estate blend of 50% Petite Sirah, 30% Syrah, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Zinfandel . This Dresser Classic brings aromas of black cherry, black raspberry, and plump ripe strawberries from the glass with spicy aromas of pink peppercorn, mesquite, and cayenne. The nose also has floral notes of rose, violet, and plumeria.  This red blend has a full palate of well integrated tannins, juicy acidity and warmth.  The finish has savory notes of black pepper accompanied by dark cacao.  This is a full bodied wine that can stand up to meatier pairings or to enjoy on its own on a cool fall evening or cold winter night by the fireplace.

2022 Petite Cab
Blend of 60% Petite Sirah & 40% Cabernet Sauvignon.  Bold fruit aromas of blackberry and mulberry blended with fresh floral aromas of purple roses and plumeria. As the wine evolves in the glass, sweet aromas of vanilla bean, baking spices, and cocoa powder develop.   On the palate, this full body and juicy red blend has velvety tannins with a beautiful complex finish of black pepper and cocoa.  This full body wine can be a great pairing for juicy short ribs with a peppery BBQ sauce.

2022 Daydream
Blend of 60% Zinfandel, 20% Syrah, 10% Petite Sirah, and 10% Merlot. Back for its second release, the “Dresser Prisoner of Paso” continues to impress! This vintage’s blend offers a delicious nose of waffles with mixed berry and mulberry compote and smoky notes of candied brown sugared bacon.  This blend is full bodied and is balanced with well-integrated tannins that lead to a delicious chocolatey finish.  This is a great BBQ wine or a nice treat after a long work week.

2020 The Lost Cab
We pushed the boundaries of wine aging by letting this beauty age for 45 months in neutral French Oak and we’re glad we did! This Cabernet Sauvignon is quite evolutionary. Best to open or decant for 45 minutes to an hour before serving.  With some air, this Cabernet’s evolves in complexity on the nose and the palate.  The initial aromas of this cabernet are green bell pepper and black cherry.  As the wine opens up, earthy aromas of charcoal, cocoa nibs and coffee grounds.  On the palate, this is a savory Cabernet with nice tannin structure that leads to a complex finish of leather, earth and truffle.  This Cabernet would pair nicely with a dry rubbed, smoked brisket or grilled steak with earthy mushrooms.

2023 Viognier
On the nose, tropical fruits of papaya, banana, and guava leap out of the glass blended with floral notes of wild daffodils and daisies. This viognier is well balanced on the palate with bright acidity.  This wine has an expressive finish of Meyer lemon custard, tangelo, and orange melon.  Great wine for a spring or summer picnic!
